QUENCH
A deckbuilding roguelike about making matter that cannot exist.
You hold a hand of quarks. Smash them together and a real particle comes out. Stable ones score almost nothing. Unstable ones score enormously — and when they decay they spawn more particles, which score too, cascading down until one hand pays six figures.
But every unstable particle heats the beam. At zero stability the magnets quench and the run is over. Instability is your score and your death. Same number, both directions.
Two rules: quark + antiquark = meson. Three quarks = baryon. Your first run teaches the rest while you play.
- Eight rounds, escalating targets, about 15 minutes
- A shop between rounds: detectors, one-shot theories, heavier quarks
- Pick your beam energy each round — more reach, less margin
- ~50 particles to discover, and an endless mode with its own leaderboard
Mouse only. Plays in the browser — fullscreen recommended. Windows build below.
Every mass, lifetime and decay path is real Particle Data Group data, so the system is deeper than I could have invented. All 24 sounds are synthesised at runtime — the project has no audio files.
Tell me in the comments which particle killed you.

maybe its just me but i feel like that this game was fully (or atleast partially) made with ai because all of the ai generated games in html that ive seen have the exact same style, same lighting things and gradients and even the same font and most of the times there is barely any background on the creator
Thnks for taking the time to leave your feedback!!!
Sorry to hear the visual style didn't quite land for you. Art and design arn't really my strong suit, so I went for maximum simplicity. I'm definittely planning to polish and improve the visuals in future versions!
I'd love to know what you think in the future!
I saw the option to buy Top and HAD to... Great game, even if I have less than no idea what I was doing!
You found it! Two at once are a special thing...
Not having idea what you're doing is basically the first run, the game explains itself by trying new things each run.
Thanks for playing and for the comment!
